Maintenance Shop Welder

Position Summary

The Maintenance Welder performs repairs and maintenance on vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails and fabrication.

• Cut and weld repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, and fabrication.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and arc welding equipment.
• Bend steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components on trucks.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• Communication: Provides supervisors and co‑workers with the information they need and conveys information in a timely and accurate manner in written reports.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnoses existing problems, predicts potential issues, determines root causes of failures, and selects the best repair option.
• Valid driver's license.

• Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
