Aluminum Fabricator

Welder/Fabricator

Responsible for complete fabrication, assembly & welding of raw steel & aluminum into manufactured bodies. Includes cutting & forming raw materials into parts, welding parts together, reading & understanding build sheets & standard work instructions for the various products.

• Welding steel and aluminum
• Measuring and cutting raw materials to specifications
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components for flaws

• Ability to read and interpret build sheets and work instructions
• Ability to work overtime and varied shift assignments if necessary
• All Welders must wear a respirator; successful completion of pre‑employment respirator testing is required.

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Internal or external weld certification required

• Welding—MIG, TIG, or Flux‑core (steel and aluminum) experience may be required.
• Manufacturing industry or background experience preferred.
• Tiers:
  Tier 2 = 3–6 yrs. | Tier 3 = 7–10 yrs. | Tier 4 = 10+ yrs (considering welding capability and complexity).

• Ability to hold and use a welding gun in vertical, lateral, and overhead positions.
• Ability to pass a steel weld test.
• Ability to pass tape measure testing.
