About Us

We are a dynamic, fast-paced precision job shop serving the defense, aerospace, nuclear, and oil & gas industries. Our environment is built for growth—with a strong foundation in machining complex parts from hard-to-machine metals using advanced multi‑axis equipment. We are looking for a key team member to take a hands‑on leadership role as we continue to scale.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Master Machinist / Machining Manager to lead our machining operations. This role blends leadership and mentorship with hands‑on technical work. You’ll manage a talented team of machinists, streamline operations, improve product flow, and help drive our strategic growth. You’ll also play a critical role in developing the next generation of machinists and helping shape the direction of our shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day‑to‑day machining operations across various machines (Swiss, lathes, multi‑axis mills, etc.).
  • Mentor and develop machinists of all skill levels, fostering a culture of quality, precision, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize workflow and product movement through the shop to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Jump in hands‑on when needed—operate machines, troubleshoot setups, and assist with complex jobs.
  • Ensure proper setup, programming oversight, and quality control for precision machining projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support production goals, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to hiring, training, and retaining skilled machinists.
  • Support the growth of the business by recommending improvements in tooling, processes, and equipment.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards across the team and facility.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of machining experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong background with complex materials (e.g., Inconel, titanium, stainless steel).
  • Experience with Swiss machines, multi‑axis CNC mills, and lathes required.
  • Prior leadership or shop management experience preferred.
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
  • Proficient in machining process optimization and problem‑solving.
  • Comfortable working in a job shop environment with high mix / low to medium volume production.
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and mentor team members.
  • Hands‑on, lead‑by‑example mindset.
