Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, and material handling operations for machined materials within a manufacturing environment. The role ensures the accurate movement, tracking, and distribution of materials to support production schedules while maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process work orders, including receiving, prioritizing, assigning, and updating requests to support production and assembly operations.
  • Ensure the continuous and timely supply of materials to designated production and assembly areas.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and facility teams to ensure efficient scheduling, shipment processing, and task completion.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between internal departments and management by providing status updates, resolving scheduling issues, and managing expectations.
  • Support additional material handling functions and assist team members as operational needs require.
  • Requisition, track, and manage inventory, supplies, parts, and specialized equipment necessary to complete operational tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, deliveries, work performed, and completed tasks. Generate reports and performance metrics for leadership review.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, including tracing lost shipments, handling customer claims, and initiating proof-of-delivery documentation.
  • Enforce workplace safety standards, environmental practices, and company procedures to ensure compliance with industry and facility requirements.
  • Promote proper use, care, and maintenance of equipment and materials while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of raw materials, parts, and equipment to appropriate staging areas throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturing specifications prior to release for production use.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling operations preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational accuracy.
