Essential Duties
- Perform machining operations including turning, milling, drilling, and threading on rotating equipment components such as pumps, turbines, and compressors
- Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to produce quality parts
- Maintain and verify tight tolerances in accordance with specifications and industry standards
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
- Set up and operate machining equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Operate small lifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Complete assigned tasks while maintaining high attention to detail and organization
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production and quality
- Maintain proper care, calibration, and use of tools and measuring devices
- Follow all safety directives, company policies, and customer requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of machinist experience required
- Strong knowledge of machining practices including turning, milling, drilling, and threading
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and G-code
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating tolerances and dimensions
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must supply basic machinist tools
- Job shop experience preferred
- Willingness to work a full‑time schedule with potential overtime, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to use hands for tool operation and assembly work
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to metals such as aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel
- Ability to operate machinery and material handling equipment safely
- Must be able to comply with drug screenings, background checks, and safety requirements
