CNC Swiss Lathe Operator - Air Conditioned Facility

GI Corporation is a leading precision manufacturing organization specializing in aviation, defense, and aerospace tooling. Our state-of-the-art, air-conditioned CNC production facility in North Houston, TX, is currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our growing team.

• Set up, operate, and modify programs utilizing Fanuc controls on CNC lathe machines.
• Manage short-run precision machining production jobs (typically 1-5 pieces).
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics accurately.
• Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring tools to maintain high standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize machining processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Run twin-spindle, twin-turret lathe equipment (experience preferred).
• Operate Swiss-type turning machines (experience preferred).
• Work with equipment such as Takisawa TM-2000 and Tsugami B0386-III.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with company safety standards.
• Speak, read, and write English fluently for clear team communication.
• Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and stand for extended shifts.

• 5-6 years of hands‑on experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist or CNC Setup Operator in a precision machine shop.
• Strong knowledge of CNC lathe programming, setups, and operations.
• Proficiency in using Fanuc controls for program editing and adjustment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and a commitment to consistent punctuality.

• Full‑time position: 40 hours per week, day shift (8‑hour shifts).
• Competitive hourly wage: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience).
