About the RoleJoin a highly technical manufacturing environment where precision, performance, and innovation matter. As an NC Programmer / Industrial Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing CNC machining operations across a large, multi-machine production environment (30+ machines).
This role sits at the intersection of programming, process engineering, and continuous improvement—giving you direct impact on cycle times, quality, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. You’ll be hands‑on in the shop while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to drive efficiency and introduce cutting‑edge machining technologies. If you enjoy solving complex machining challenges and improving how things are made, this is a high‑visibility role with strong growth potential.
WhatYou’ll Do
CNC Programming & Optimization
- Develop, program, and optimize NC programs for a wide range of CNC machines
- Continuously improve cycle times, tool paths, and cutting strategies
- Maintain and update programs to ensure compliance with TIC standards and ISO 9001 requirements
Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Analyze machining performance and implement improvements to reduce cycle time, increase throughput, and improve quality and consistency
- Optimize workflows, machine utilization, and machining strategies
- Ensure routing times accurately reflect real‑world setup and run conditions
Advanced Manufacturing & Technology
- Lead and support Mastercam implementation and optimization
- Evaluate and introduce new machining technologies, tooling, and processes
- Maintain CNC programming infrastructure (DNC systems, version control, program storage)
Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Support production by resolving machine downtime issues, program errors, and non‑conforming parts
- Work closely with operators and technicians to ensure smooth execution on the shop floor
Tooling, Fixtures & Workholding
- Design and develop custom fixtures, tooling, and work holding solutions
- Improve setup efficiency and repeatability through engineered solutions
New Equipment & Product Integration
- Support installation, commissioning, and ramp‑up of new CNC machines and work centers
- Partner with engineering on new product introduction to ensure manufacturability
- Help scale new programs and processes into production
Quality & Documentation
- Partner with Quality to improve in‑process inspection methods and machining quality standards
- Develop and maintain clear, standardized work instructions and documentation
Required
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience in CNC Programming, Machining / Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of CNC programming experience in a production environment
- Strong experience writing, editing, and troubleshooting NC programs
- Deep understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and work holding
- Proven ability to improve cycle times and manufacturing efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with multi‑axis CNC machining (4‑axis / 5‑axis)
- Experience with DNC systems and program management
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience supporting new equipment installation or plant expansion initiatives
Tools & Systems
- Mastercam (required)
- DNC systems and program management tools
- ERP / Manufacturing systems
