Intuitive Machines is seeking a Precision Cleaning Line Technician to join our team. The Precision Cleaning Line Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the precision cleaning processes used to prepare aerospace components for assembly, inspection, or further processing. This role ensures that all parts meet strict aerospace cleanliness, FOD, and contamination‑control requirements. The technician will follow established work instructions, safety protocols, and quality standards to deliver consistent, high‑reliability cleaning results.
A candidate for this position will be encouraged to take on as much responsibility as practical and will be expected to play a role in the manufacturing and implementation of parts that will support or be part of the Lunar program. This includes but is not limited to the Lunar Lander, Satellites, Payloads support, Test and Verification and others.
- Operate precision cleaning equipment including ultrasonic tanks, spray systems, chemical baths, filtration systems, and drying ovens.
- Follow detailed process sheets, work instructions, and cleanliness specifications for aerospace hardware.
- Inspect parts for cleanliness, surface condition, FOD, and chemical residue using appropriate methods (visual inspection, UV lighting, particulate checks, etc.).
- Handle chemicals according to SDS guidelines and support safe chemical storage, use, and disposal.
- Monitor solution levels, temperatures, pH, concentrations, and equipment parameters, and document results.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance such as filter changes, tank cleaning, calibration checks, and general upkeep.
- Record process data accurately in logs, travelers, MES systems, or other required documentation.
- Communicate anomalies, equipment issues, or nonconforming conditions to supervisors and quality teams.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure cleaning processes support manufacturing flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD‑controlled work environment.
- Comply with all environmental, safety, contamination‑control, and handling protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or equipment operation.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
- Basic understanding of chemicals, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Comfortable working in an environment with cleaning agents, solvents, and wet processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect surface defects or cleanliness issues.
- Ability to lift and move parts or equipment up to 40lbs in a safe manner.
- Work inside a Clean Room environment, abiding by all Clean Room requirements.
- Comply with all environmental, safety, contamination‑control, and handling protocols.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or a high‑precision, contamination‑sensitive environment.
- Knowledge of precision cleaning, FOD control, or cleanroom operations.
- Familiarity with ultrasonic cleaning systems, solvent cleaning, aqueous processing, or related equipment.
- Prior chemical handling or hazardous materials training.
- Experience using MES or production documentation systems.
