We are a manufacturer of precision elastomer and plastic seals serving oil & gas, mining, and water distribution markets, specializing in small-series production across 8,000+ SKUs annually. We are seeking an experienced Lathe Operator. The Lathe Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision‑machined components according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate lathe machines to manufacture parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical documents.
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production concerns.
- Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of lathe operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC lathes.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in oil & gas, or industrial supply sectors.
- Exposure to high‑SKU, low-volume / small‑series manufacturing environments.
