Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Rack Build / Land & Level Engineer to go onsite to our customers’ Data Center sites across the US. This engineer serves as the field execution leader and technical subject matter expert for large-scale data center and hyperscale infrastructure deployments. The role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects through ownership of quality, execution, and field coordination, operating across the full project lifecycle from rack build (Stage 1) through rack installation (Land & Level).
The engineer must ensure a seamless transition between stages, full deployment readiness, accurate execution, issue identification, risk escalation, and alignment with approved designs and downstream requirements.

Skillsand Requirements
- Experience leading rack builds and rack installations in data center, jobsite, or similar infrastructure environments.
- Ability to lead and coordinate a team of up to 15–20 technicians, ensuring work is assigned, tracked, and completed accurately.
- Strong experience keeping track of loose gear, materials, tools, and equipment, including managing inventory and ensuring all required parts are accounted for.
- Ability to read, follow, and validate a Bill of Materials, ensuring racks are built according to required specifications, standards, and deployment requirements.
- Hands‑on experience working inside cabinets and racks, ensuring correct orientation, spacing, leveling, placement, and overall installation quality.
- 90–95% travel.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
