Process Safety Management Operator / On‑SitePosition Overview
The Process Safety Management Operator supports safe, efficient manufacturing of specialty chemical products while meeting quality and production targets. This role operates complex equipment, troubleshoots process issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The position works collaboratively across shifts to ensure consistent, compliant operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures
- Set up, adjust, and change over equipment to meet production schedules
- Accurately record batch data, inspections, and production metrics
- Perform in‑process quality checks and elevate deviations
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Support training and guidance of less‑experienced operators
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–7 years of experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment
- Experience in chemical, adhesive, or regulated manufacturing
- Ability to read work instructions, batch records, and safety data
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Associate degree or technical certification
- Forklift or industrial equipment certification
- Experience with SAP
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $20.00 – $27.00 /hr.
