Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the procurement of materials in support of Manufacturing Group. Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials within or between departments. Duties include monitoring and compiling reports on inventory level and cost. Responsible for ensuring the optimum quantity levels of inventory to meet the needs of the manufacturing department. Ability to apply effective time management to stay on top of production schedules.

Requires good communication skills to work with all departments within the organization.

Key Activities and Accountabilities
  • Monitor the levels of material stock by review and analysis of inventory reports.
  • Generation of local requisitions to initiate purchase of materials.
  • Ensure materials match purchase order prices and requirements.
  • Work directly with purchasing to ensure that materials are available.
  • Time material delivery in accordance to scheduled production.
  • Perform physical inventory cycle counts.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Candidates should have good communication skills in English, written and oral.
  • Ability to multitask and apply effective time management skills.
  • Working experience using computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Leadership and planning skills.
  • Some technical knowledge of material industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with different levels of staff/customers/vendors.
  • Satisfactory results or pre-employment screening (ie background check, drug/alcohol test etc.)
