CNC​/VTL Machinist

Houston, TX: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a CNC VTL Machinist to support a confidential client in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) with Siemens controls to produce precision‑machined components. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with VTL equipment and a strong understanding of CNC machining processes.

• Operate Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines to perform machining operations
• Utilize Siemens controls to set up and run parts efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Perform machine setup, including tooling and adjustments as needed
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Work overtime as required to meet production demands

• Proven experience operating VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) machines
• Experience working with Siemens controls (programming not required)
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Ability to stand for extended periods during shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment
• Manual dexterity and ability to operate machinery safely

• Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime required as needed
