DPC is part of Dover Corporation’s Pumps and Process solutions segment, providing mission-critical equipment components for oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical and general processing markets. 2nd Shift CNC Machinist – responsible for operating and adjusting CNC lathe and mill machines on standardized parts. Shift hours:
Mon‑Thu 3:30 pm – 2 am.

• Work from drawings, sketches and specifications to complete various machining operations.
• Perform machine set‑ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts.
• Obtain required first‑piece inspections and conduct inspections on work‑in‑progress using a range of measuring devices.
• Maintain records of time, part counts, inspections, and requisition forms for each job.
• Build jigs, fixtures or other specialized non‑production devices as qualified and assigned.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections on basic product for other machinists as qualified.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance of machines per the PM schedule.
• Troubleshoot drawings, machining, tooling, programming, material, etc., and make competent decisions regarding the job.
• Apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as called out on print.
• Ensure proper machine setup and accurate interpretation of prints and specifications to prevent damage and detect errors with frequent tolerance/quality checks.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some trade school or on‑the‑job training required for proficiency.
• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading.
• 2+ years of experience as a CNC machinist.

• Walk, stand, reach and bend frequently. Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required. Good hand/eye coordination necessary.

• Normal operations require eye protection, steel‑toed footwear and occasionally hand protection.

• Exposure to a normal machine shop environment with periodic noise and occasional disagreeable factors.
