As a Machinist I, you’ll join the Flex Machining team supporting both production and engineering work. This role is ideal for a machinist with a solid foundation in CNC machining who is ready to continue developing setup skills while working alongside experienced machinists, programmers, and engineers.

What you’ll be doingIn this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual mills, manual lathes, and waterjet machines with moderate supervision
- Machine production and engineering parts while maintaining quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job documentation
- Assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and fixture preparation
- Perform preventative machine maintenance according to PM schedules
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
- Load and make basic edits to CNC programs when required
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
- Follow engineering instructions, SOPs, and quality procedures
- Work closely with experienced machinists and supervisors to continuously improve machining processes

- Experience with CNC mills or CNC lathes
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge of G-Code, M-Code, or Mazatrol

- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
