$140,000 - $170,000 per year. Houston, TX. Hybrid. Permanent.

We are a global real‑estate investment and management firm with a substantial, diverse portfolio spanning office, retail, industrial, and mixed‑use properties across multiple markets and ownership structures. As “smart building” expectations rise, we invest heavily in the technology backbone behind our properties, from amenity centers to core building systems, and are building the team to own that strategy.

• The portfolio-wide playbook doesn’t exist yet, so you’re writing it, not inheriting someone else’s
• Real, hands‑on use of AI tools to drive efficiency, not just lip service
• Base up to $170K + 20% target bonus

Reporting to a senior infrastructure leader, you’ll own the design, standards, and governance for building networking, cybersecurity, and connected systems across a portfolio where no two properties (or owners) look alike.

Three core areas of focus:

• Property‑side cybersecurity—protecting connected building systems (HVAC, elevators, access control, cameras) from real‑world threats
• Property‑side networking—setting the standard for how connectivity reaches each building (fiber, Wi‑Fi, segmentation)
• Real estate operations—translating standards into requirements that construction teams, GCs, and vendors actually follow

This is a strategy and standards role, not hands‑on configuration. You won’t be programming switches, but you need to be fluent at the architecture level (edge switches, distribution switches, firewalls) to direct the network engineers who do.

What you bring

• 10–12+ years in OT/IT infrastructure (real estate, construction, or multi‑site environments preferred)
• 5+ years converging disparate networks across vendors and owners
• Demonstrable hands‑on AI use
• Strong cross‑functional communication skills
• Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, CWNA) a plus

Schedule
: 3 days/week required on-site in Houston.
