*** Manage and coach a team of skilled technicians and mentor them to achieve consistent, top-tier finishes.
* Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain the highest level of quality.
* Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and implement strategies that drive productivity and profitability.
* Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure everything is in line with production goals.
* Lead efforts to implement new technologies and finishing techniques that will elevate the company’s capabilities and product offerings.

* What We’re Looking For:

*** Minimum of 3 years of experience in finishing or production management within cabinetry or woodworking manufacturing.
* Strong technical knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and equipment.  + Proficiency with spray equipment (HVLP or airless systems).  + Knowledge of wood finishing techniques (staining, sealing, lacquering).  + Familiarity with paint mixing and color matching.  + Experience working with water-based and solvent-based finishes.  + Knowledge of cabinet materials (wood, MDF, veneers).
* Data-driven approach with experience in using KPIs to enhance performance.
* Problem-solving expertise with a focus on root cause analysis and effective solution implementation.
* Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software is highly advantageous.

** The Finishing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the finishing department within a cabinetry manufacturing operation. This role ensures the consistent execution of high-quality finishing processes, manages daily workflow, mentors team members, and drives operational efficiency. The Finishing Superintendent plays a key role in meeting production goals, implementing process improvements, and maintaining alignment with quality standards and customer expectations.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Supervise and mentor a team of finishing technicians and specialists to achieve consistent, top-tier finishes across all cabinetry products.
* Monitor daily operations within the finishing department to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards are maintained.
* Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce downtime, enhance throughput, and improve finish consistency.
* Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate department performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate closely with production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, and other departments to ensure alignment with overall production goals.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and ensure production milestones are met.
