Position Overview:
The Treatment Services Operator for Ecoservices in Houston, TX plays a key role in safely handling, unloading, and monitoring processes involving hazardous waste at our Houston site. This hands-on role supports daily operations to ensure materials are processed accurately, safely, and in accordance with environmental regulations and company procedures. Supreme attention to detail and timeliness are required. You should be comfortable working in hot, humid, and noisy environments and able to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and perform manual tasks.
Some job responsibilities necessitate wearing Level B PPE protection.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Direct truck and railcar drivers for proper unloading procedures
- Perform daily inspections on trailers, tanks, safety equipment, and PPE
- Monitor unloading operations, pressure, temperature, and fluid levels
- Sample and verify product, complete manifest paperwork, and support lab submissions
- Operate valves, loading arms, and meters to safely transfer products in outdoor elements to include extreme heat
- Troubleshoot flow or system transfer issues and maintain accurate logs
- Conduct housekeeping and participate in shutdown and startup activities
- Collaborate with the unit team to ensure safety and efficiency
- Use proper protective equipment in accordance with site-specific SOPs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, and Associate's degree in Process Technology
or 4-year accredited college degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Proven tenure with industry experience is highly preferred
