Job Title: Fiberglass Technician Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fiberglass Technician with hands‑on skills in fiberglass application and operation of a chopper gun or gel coat gun. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, attention to detail, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. This role involves producing high‑quality fiberglass components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Apply fiberglass materials using a chopper gun or gel coat gun.
- Prepare molds, surfaces, and materials for fiberglass application.
- Mix resins, catalysts, and coatings according to specifications.
- Inspect finished products for quality, thickness, and consistency.
- Perform repairs, touch‑ups, and refinishing as needed.
- Maintain tools, spray guns, and production equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and materials.
- Work with production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of fiberglass experience
. - Experience operating a chopper gun or gel coat gun
. - Ability to read and follow production instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Good attendance and work ethic.
- Bilingual Preferred
- Energetic
Preferred:
- More than 2 years of fiberglass or composite manufacturing experience.
- Experience in marine, automotive, industrial, or custom fabrication environments.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around chemicals, resins, and fiberglass materials.
- Competitive hourly pay ($19–$20 DOE).
- Stable full‑time schedule.
