Media Blaster

Overview

The Media Blaster is responsible for preparing and cleaning steel components using industrial blasting equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and the ability to work around heavy steel materials. Daily duties include blasting steel parts to remove rust, paint, scale, and other surface contaminants, followed by visual inspection to ensure quality standards are met.

The role also involves operating forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials throughout the facility, maintaining a clean work area, and following all safety procedures at all times.

• Prepare and clean steel components using industrial blasting equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
• Blast steel parts to remove rust, paint, scale, and other surface contaminants, followed by visual inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures at all times.

• Steel-toe shoes
• Forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience
• Ability to lift and maneuver steel components; physical stamina for a dusty industrial environment
