Soldering Technician
As a Soldering Technician, you will build and test electromechanical products by assembling mechanical components, wiring systems, controls, and related hardware. You will be responsible for interpreting assembly documentation, installing and routing wire harnesses, performing functional testing, troubleshooting assembly issues, and verifying product performance. High-temp soldering exclusively using lead-free solder will be performed from time to time.
Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products to exact specifications.
- Interpret assembly documentation to accurately install and route wire harnesses.
- Perform functional testing and troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Verify product performance and ensure quality standards.
- Maintain high-quality standards while working in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical assembly skills for both mechanical and electromechanical components.
- Experience in wire harness assembly and soldering wires, terminals, harnesses, and circuit boards.
- High-temperature, lead-free soldering experience for high-reliability assemblies.
- Experience with crimping tools and electrical wire harness assembly.
- Ability to work independently from detailed build sheets and production checklists.
Skills & Qualifications
- IPC certification is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in electronics assembly or wire harness production.
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and coachability.
- Previous experience working on pinball machines is beneficial but not essential.

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, organized, and fully climate-controlled manufacturing facility. The role requires standing for most of the shift and working independently from task lists in a high-mix, low-volume production environment where tasks vary daily. The work schedule consists of a 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, typically with Fridays through Sundays off. Overtime may be required based on production needs, which would involve working on Fridays during normal workday hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
