CNC Mill Machinists and CNC Lathe Machinists

Houston Industrial Tradesmen is seeking experienced CNC Mill Machinists and CNC Lathe Machinists for immediate full-time openings. We are looking for skilled machinists with experience in setup, operation, troubleshooting, and producing high-quality precision parts in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills and/or CNC lathes
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Manufacture precision parts while maintaining tight tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain production records and ensure quality standards are met
• Keep work areas clean and follow all company safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe machining experience
• Experience performing complete machine setups
• Strong knowledge of G & M code is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys
• Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
• Ability to maintain close tolerances and perform quality inspections
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
