Education Requirements- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training in welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial production preferred.
- AWS welding certification (AWS D1.1) or similar credential is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, technical drawings, and material specifications.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, or industrial production environments.
- Hands-on experience operating production equipment such as saws, grinders, lathes, shears, or other metalworking machinery.
- Welding experience required, including MIG, TIG, stick welding, or tack-welding applications.
- Proficiency using measuring tools, calipers, layout equipment, and inspection instruments.
- Experience with forklifts, material handling equipment, specialty metals, Lean manufacturing, 5S, or ISO quality systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Manual dexterity and spatial awareness required for welding, fabrication, material preparation, and equipment operation.
- Ability to safely lift and move metal materials and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Prepare, stage, and assemble incoming metal feedstock materials for production and fabrication processes.
- Perform tack-welding and basic welding operations to create uniform, production-ready components.
- Operate machinery and hand tools to cut, grind, deburr, shape, and condition metal materials to specifications.
- Conduct equipment inspections and perform routine preventive maintenance to support safe, efficient operations.
- Use forklifts and material handling equipment to transport raw materials and finished products.
- Collaborate with production, foundry, and quality teams to ensure material readiness, product consistency, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Identify material shortages, defects, or quality concerns and communicate issues proactively.
- Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
