Air Set Molder
Use chemically treated sand to produce sand molds for the production of aluminum castings.
Produce sand molds according to requirements, using semi-automated machinery and tooling provided.
Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good condition.
Maintain the Air-set mold line and surrounding work area in a safe and clean condition.
Learn the basic technical and chemical principles governing the operation of the Air-Set molding line.
Perform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the company.
Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranes.
Participate in training and continuing education.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Work overtime as required.
High School Diploma or GED or, relevant work experience.
Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour).
Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English).
Follow written and/or oral instructions in English.
Manufacturing / Production experience.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Ability to operate hand and power tools/machinery.
Ability to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Forklift experience/certification preferred.
