Northwest Houston | $100,000–$105,000 | Direct Hire | 100% In Office

A successful international manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its Northwest Houston facility.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a small team across production/dispatch and customer service, with responsibility for the overall performance of the facility.

The company is focused on continued growth in the U.S. market, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of an operation, developing a team, improving processes, and increasing efficiency.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Oversee daily facility operations, including manufacturing/production, customer service, inventory, purchasing, administration, and dispatch
  • Lead, train, develop, and manage the production and customer service teams
  • Manage production scheduling, quality, inventory levels, and operational efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and support ISO 9001 quality management processes
  • Resolve operational and customer issues and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
  • Prepare operational reports and communicate regularly with international senior leadership
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of operations management experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience managing day-to-day manufacturing/production operations
  • Strong people management experience, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development
  • Experience with production planning, inventory control, quality, safety, and process improvement
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety practices
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Candidates whose management experience is primarily in warehousing, distribution, logistics, retail, or office operations without direct manufacturing responsibility will not be considered.
  • Preferred Agricultural industry experience is a strong plus
  • ISO 9001 QMS experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience leading a small manufacturing operation where the manager is actively involved in day-to-day operations
