HIRING IMMEDIATELY: CNC MACHINIST IN HOUSTON, TX
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a CNC Machinist to join our team in Houston, TX. This individual will be responsible for performing set up and operation of CNC machinery (lathe and/or mill) in order to prepare metallic and non-metallic parts required in the production of inflatable packers. The ideal candidate will possess their own toolbox and tools with experience with straight/taper threads and the ability to work under a minimum of supervision.

- Starting at $30 to $35/hour, paid weekly
- Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
- 1st shift schedule: 6 am to 2:30 pm
- Located in Houston, TX
- Set-up and operate CNC machinery in all phases of operation, to run first article parts and/or to proof new programs ensuring quality product
- Primary duties Include working on new product programs including ensuring production readiness for new launches which includes:
- Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Identify, produce and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads, including Acme and buttress (does not apply to mill positions).
- Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material
- Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines
- Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.
- Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust the machine controls
- Verify conformance of finished part to ensure that it meets specifications.
- Confer with production personnel, engineers or others to resolve machining or assembly issues.
- Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Must own toolbox and tools
- Experience with straight/taper threads is required
- Ability to work under a minimum of supervision
- Requires one-year certificate from college or technical school or minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and/or complete routine reports.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
