Position Summary
The SMT Manufacturing Engineer keeps the Surface Mount Technology processes running smoothly, stable, efficient, and high-quality with hands‑on experience, skills, and teamwork
Key Responsibilities- Maintain SMT equipment and process efficient
- Drive yield improvement and process stability
- Perform root cause analysis, implement corrective & preventive actions
- Support line setup, process parameter development, validation, and qualification
- Support line balancing and throughput optimization to improve efficiency
- Work closely with Quality and Testing teams to resolve manufacturing issues
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent training in SMT manufacturing environment
- Hands‑on experience supporting SMT production
- Understanding & experience of SMT processes and equipment maintenance and repair
- Screen printers
- Pick‑and‑place machine
- Automatic Optical Inspection systems
- Reflow oven
- Experience with:
- Root cause analysis
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Process validation and qualification skill
- Yield and defect reduction strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with CAD/CAM, MES/SFC systems, or process simulation tools is a plus
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving with hands‑on troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑standard manufacturing environments
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Fast learning and passion to work on process improvement and optimization
