Summary
The basic function of the Fabricator is to measure, cut, punch, bend, and fasten chassis and face panels and sub-assemblies used in the manufacture of all scoreboard products. This is an hourly TEMPORARY position based in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities- Inspect each sheet of metal for flaws and use measuring tape to ensure the correct size.
- Move materials as needed to supply fabrication and transfer material to other departments.
- Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment.
- Inspect each fabricated sub assembly for correctness prior to transferring it to another department.
- Read and interpret drawings and layout and cut sheet metal per design.
- Wears PPE always when using tools and equipment.
Skills:
- Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level.
- Must be able to utilize hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work safely.
- Must be able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inc.
- High School Diploma or GED.
