Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Mazak Machinist specializing in multi-tasking, twin-spindle machining centers. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in high-precision component manufacturing who thrives in a fast-paced environment where quality and extreme attention to detail are paramount.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex part production, from setup and programming to live-tool machining and final quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate Mazak Integrex i100 (or similar multi-axis/twin-spindle) machines.
  • Utilize Mazatrol Smooth controls to perform daily machining tasks, make edits, and optimize programs.
  • Execute complex operations involving simultaneous machining, live tooling, and full C-axis, B-axis, and Y-axis coordination.
  • Perform comprehensive machine setups, including selecting and installing tooling, configuring advanced work holding, setting offsets, and running first-piece inspections.
  • Read and precisely interpret engineering drawings, complex blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
  • Verify part dimensions against blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, height gauges).
  • Diagnose machining issues, identify root causes, and make real-time process adjustments to enhance product quality, minimize waste, and improve cycle efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of proven experience programming and operating Mazak Integrex i100 or similar multi-tasking twin-spindle machining centers.
  • Strong mastery of Mazatrol Smooth controls and a deep understanding of multi-axis machining mechanics (C, B, Y-axis, live tooling).
  • Demonstrated history of running high-precision parts with incredibly tight tolerances.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safe manufacturing practices.
