Shop Helper

At Weld Fit, the position of Helper is responsible for helping machinists, welders and other operators as per customers order by performing the duties and responsibilities below.

Other Duties / Expectations:

Obtains various materials for jobs from stock area.

Clean tools at end of each shift.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work and think safety at all times.

Must be able to work overtime and weekends with minimum notice

Able to grind metals

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb

Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

High Level of manual dexterity

Good mechanical aptitude

Ability to distinguish various colors / color coding

Ability to pass vision test Willing to admit to hearing baseline test Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in similar job
