Vessel Fitter Job Description - Night Shift

M-F 5:00 pm to 3:45 am

The Vessel Fitter is responsible for assembling detailed parts of pressure vessels and ensuring that components are correctly positioned and aligned according to engineering drawings and work instructions. The job requires the ability to safely operate basic fabrication-shop equipment.

• Assemble various vessel components and detailed parts.
• Read and use vessel fabrication drawings.
• Position, fit, and align components according to drawings and instructions.
• Perform bridge tacking with GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/MIG).
• Operate basic shop equipment, including:
  • Grinders
  • Chippers
  • Buffers
  • Cutting torch
  • Overhead crane
  • Forklift
• Maintain general knowledge of fabrication-department operations.
• Follow all safety requirements and project rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED, or
• A 1–2 year technical diploma or vocational certificate is desired.
