Fabrication Production Lead (2nd Shift)

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule:

2nd Shift / Overnight | Mon–Fri (Saturdays as needed) | 11–12 hr shifts

Job Summary:

Hands-on overnight lead position combining team supervision with active equipment operation. Sets up and operates saws, cutting tools, threading machinery, and ironworkers while keeping 2nd shift fabrication workflows moving safely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation:
  Set up and run vertical/horizontal saws, cutting equipment, manual threading tools, and hydraulic ironworkers.
• Blueprint Reading:
  Interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols to perform accurate cutting, layout, and threading.
• Shift Leadership:
  Assign overnight work, guide floor operations, and help team members hit daily targets.
• Quality & Safety:
  Conduct dimensional checks with calipers/gauges and enforce OSHA rules, machine guarding, and safe crane/forklift operation.
• Bilingual Support:
  Direct shop floor tasks and train operators in both English and Spanish.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years in metal fabrication/welding shops, with lead operator experience.
• Strong hands-on skill with saws, cutting tools, manual threading equipment, and ironworkers.
• Proficient in blueprint reading, trade math, and operating overhead cranes/forklifts.
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) and comfortable on overnight shifts.
• High School Diploma or GED; trade certification a plus.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $23.00 Per Hour
