Painter Helper

Description Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group, is seeking to hire an entry-level Painter Helper to join the team. As a Painter Helper, you will be responsible for supporting painters and production teams with all prep work, masking, material handling, cleanup, and general shop support. We are looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude, is reliable, and has the potential to be developed and trained into higher-skilled positions.

Key Responsibilities Assist painters with surface preparation: cleaning, degreasing, sanding/scuffing, masking, staging parts.

Help set up and break down paint areas: paper/plastic masking, hanging parts, moving carts/fixtures.

General shop support: organize tools/materials, housekeeping, trash disposal, staging components.

Basic hand/power tool use under supervision (sanders, grinders, drills).Move materials safely using carts/pallet jacks; assist with forklift/crane work as trained.

Follow safety rules and PPE requirements at all times.

Learn quality basics: what “good prep” and “good finish” look like.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications Entry-level (no formal experience required; shop/industrial experience is a plus).Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team.

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications Exposure to painting, prep work, body shop work, construction, or warehouse environments.

Forklift experience (or willingness to certify).Growth Path Strong performers can grow into Industrial Painter, Production Technician, or fabrication/assembly roles.
