Position Overview

Zedcor is seeking an Assembly Technician who will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components and products according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies in materials or finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to improve assembly processes.
  • Keep accurate records of production work, including time, materials, and completed units.
  • Follow all company procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to support product development and innovation.
  • Adhere to all state/federal and company policies regarding safety while carrying out your duties.
  • Attend all meetings and training as required.
  • Represent ZEDCOR in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Qualifications
  • Applies technical and professional knowledge required to perform job
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and technologies.
  • Works well with others toward completion of common goal
  • Recognizes potential problems, and offers proactive solutions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Physical Demands
  • Manufacturing or production facility.
  • Exposure to machinery, tools, and potential hazards (protective gear may be required).
  • May require standing, bending, and lifting for long periods
  • Exposure to heat, humidity, and cold temperatures
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay range:
    Starting at $20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
