Job Description & How to Apply Below

Laurin’s Kitchen is seeking a Commissary Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-volume food production facility. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required for this position.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating production, managing the team, and ensuring products are prepared according to established recipes, procedures, and production standards.

We value relevant experience, but we also understand that the right candidate may not come from the exact same type of operation. We’re looking for someone who understands the demands of a fast-paced food environment, is willing to learn our processes, can handle a high level of responsibility, and is ready to take ownership of the role.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate daily food production and commissary operations.
  • Plan and organize production according to daily and weekly needs.
  • Supervise, organize, train, and lead production employees.
  • Ensure established recipes are followed accurately, including ingredients, measurements, preparation methods, portions, and procedures.
  • Maintain product consistency from batch to batch.
  • Monitor production quantities, yields, waste, and overproduction.
  • Ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee proper packaging, labeling, storage, and preparation of finished products for distribution.
  • Monitor inventory of ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products and help prevent shortages.
  • Coordinate purchasing and product needs.
  • Ensure proper rotation of ingredients and finished products.
  • Oversee proper food temperatures, cooling procedures, storage, handling, and sanitation.
  • Ensure established food safety and operational procedures are followed.
  • Maintain accurate production, temperature, inventory, and other required records.
  • Train employees on recipes, procedures, food handling, sanitation, and operational expectations.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production.
  • Identify production or workflow issues and make adjustments to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Report equipment issues and help coordinate maintenance when needed.
  • Maintain an organized, productive, and accountable work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or relevant food production experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn established processes and procedures.
  • Dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking on the responsibilities of a fast-paced, high-volume operation.

You do not need to come from an identical operation to be considered. If you have relevant experience, understand the demands of food production, are willing to learn, and are ready to take on the responsibility and workload of the position.
