Job Description & How to Apply Below
Electrical Switchgear Assembly Technician Imagine starting your shift with a quick safety huddle, reviewing the master copy, spec sheets, front elevation, and WO files for the day’s builds. You gather tools, verify parts, and begin assembling mechanical components for switch gear and breaker units exactly to engineering drawings and customer requirements. Throughout the day, you conduct in-process checks, track any shortages, and keep your workbench spotless.

When engineering changes come through, you assist with root-cause analysis and help correct discrepancies. Before units move on, you complete final in-process inspections and make precise mechanical adjustments so everything meets spec. You support your lead assembler, collaborate with a small team when needed, and wrap up with ship-prep tasks—including splitting gear—so it’s ready to go out the door.
