Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM | 1st Shift

Looking for Mechanical Assembler jobs in Houston where craftsmanship and precision come together? This opportunity lets you assemble quality products using hand tools, mechanical skills, and detailed work instructions while helping keep production running efficiently.

Education Requirements- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, assembly, or electrical systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and bills of material.
- 1+ year of mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing experience required.
- Previous quality control or quality inspection experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify assembly defects and quality concerns.
- Experience interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, and production documentation.
- Knowledge of 5S, workplace safety practices, and continuous improvement principles.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools throughout the shift.
- Must wear steel-toe boots and required PPE.
- Casual work environment; company uniforms provided.
- Assemble products according to approved work instructions, drawings, and supervisor direction.
- Install hardware, panels, doors, seals, insulation, cable supports, and brackets.
- Verify parts and materials before installation and report discrepancies.
- Perform quality inspections for fit, alignment, torque, fastening, and workmanship.
- Complete production records, labels, checklists, and traceability documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S standards.
- Support material handling, rework, repairs, packaging, and other production activities as needed.
