Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Openwork is seeking a dependable and experienced Bridge Shop Helper to join a manufacturing team in Northeast Houston. This is a hands‑on opportunity for someone who enjoys working with tools, staying active, and contributing to a productive industrial environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Drill holes in blocks using drills and other hand or power tools
- Paint blocks using brushes and rollers
- Move, stage, and organize materials throughout the work area
- Operate a forklift approximately 3–4% of the shift
- Read and follow work orders and production instructions
- Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
- Assist with material handling and general production duties
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety, PPE, and production procedures
- 2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, construction, industrial shop, or similar hands‑on experience required
- Painting experience using brushes and rollers required
- Forklift operating experience required
- Experience using drills, hand tools, and power tools
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to follow work orders, instructions, and safety procedures
- Comfortable performing physical work and handling heavy materials
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Strong work ethic and team‑oriented attitude
- Ability to meet all PPE, hygiene, and respirator requirements
This position works in a safety-sensitive industrial manufacturing environment with specific PPE and hygiene requirements.
- Respirator required throughout the entire shift
- Must remain clean‑shaven to maintain a proper respirator seal
- Showering at the end of each shift is mandatory
- Work involves lead‑based materials
- Periodic blood testing is required
- Must follow all PPE, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures
- Must be comfortable working around industrial equipment and heavy materials
- Up to $20.00 per hour, based on experience
- Weekly pay
