Shipyard Shipfitters - $140 Per Diem
- Up to $55/hr
- Houston, TX
Aerotek is seeking experienced Shipfitters for major shipbuilding and repair projects in Houston, Texas. These professionals will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of structural components in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidates are skilled in blueprint reading, fit-up, and alignment, and are committed to quality and safety standards.

- Minimum 4 years of Ship fitter experience in a shipyard environment
- Strong blueprint and drawing interpretation skills
- Experience with structural fit-up, alignment, and assembly
- Familiarity with shipbuilding fabrication tools and equipment
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Previous experience with tack welding and weld preparation
- Strong understanding of shipyard safety practices
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and correct fabrication issues
