2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

SEEKING: MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN – 2ND SHIFT

Openwork is hiring a Manufacturing Technician for a production operation in Houston. We’re looking for someone with at least 1 year of manufacturing, production, packaging, equipment operation, or related experience who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working hands‑on with production equipment.

• Pay: $19.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
• Training:
  Approximately 2 weeks on 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

• Set up, operate, break down, and clean filling equipment
• Make basic adjustments and repairs to filling, labeling, and sealing equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist production when problems occur
• Operate heat sealers, band sealers, and other packaging equipment
• Perform labeling, packing, and light assembly
• Prepare materials and supplies for production runs
• Complete quality checks on equipment and finished products
• Follow work orders, instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain accurate production records when required
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Work with the production team to meet daily goals

• 1+ year of manufacturing, production, packaging, equipment operation, or related experience required
• Experience with filling, labeling, sealing, or packaging equipment is a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical and light electrical skills preferred
• Pneumatic equipment or pneumatic pump experience is a plus
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  
  Reliable and consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
• Ability to complete approximately 2 weeks of 1st‑shift training before transitioning to 2nd Shift
