Handheld Grinder​/Fabrication Shop Helper

We are hiring dependable, hardworking Handheld Grinder / Fabrication Shop Helpers for a busy industrial fabrication facility in the East Houston / 77015 area
.

This is a physical, hands-on position with significant overtime. Candidates must have previous experience working with handheld grinders or in a fabrication, welding, metal, pipe, or industrial shop environment
.

• Operate handheld grinders to grind, smooth, clean, and prepare metal
• Grind welds, edges, and metal surfaces
• Remove burrs, slag, rust, and excess material
• Assist welders and fabricators with daily production
• Prepare and position materials for welding and fabrication
• Handle and move metal materials, parts, and tools
• Perform general welder helper and shop helper duties
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all shop and safety procedures
• Work extended hours and weekends as production requires

• Handheld grinder experience strongly preferred
• Fabrication, welding shop, metal, pipe, or industrial experience preferred
• Bilingual English & Spanish REQUIRED
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Able to perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Able to work in an industrial fabrication environment
• Must be dependable and have strong attendance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be available to start at 6:00 AM
• Must be available to work 6–7 days per week
• Must be willing to work significant overtime
