About the role:

The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Marketing Specialist located in Houston, Texas. As a member of the Global Marketing Communications team, the Product Marketing Specialist supports the introduction and maintenance of product-focused marketing materials by collaborating with product managers, engineers and commercial and sales teams to ensure our products' features and benefits messages are clearly communicated to the target audiences.

Further, this role is the key liaison between product development and the marketing department in the development of a variety of sales support and marketing materials for new and existing products and services. You will play a key role in collaboration with the marketing campaign team to deliver product content across a range of marketing channels to meet new product go-to market strategy goals.

* Position is based out of Houston, TX.

What You Will Do:

* Create educational and product marketing content across platforms, ensuring clear, consistent communication of product value and features to internal, external and dealer audiences.

* Collaborate with engineers, key stakeholders and agencies to plan and execute both the development of new and the maintenance of existing materials including spec sheets, brochures, dealer selling guides, webpages and related product-focused content.

* Perform market and competitive research to inform strategy.

* Lead marketing content efforts across channels.

* Manage photography and video production and manage these assets through marketing distribution systems

* Oversee marketing budgets to meet product marketing strategies.

Knowledge of different promotional and marketing communication techniques; ability to use different marketing channels and tools in combination to focus on how a business communicates a message to the market.

* Assists in the development of marketing communication materials.
