Pay Range
: $75k to 90k annually

Rate is building one of the most ambitious social-first brands in financial services. We are looking for a Senior Copywriter who understands how culture moves online and knows how to write for it in real time. This is not a traditional advertising or marketing role. This is a social-native role.

You will lead copy development across organic and paid social content, working closely with creative, video, brand, and performance teams to produce work that feels relevant, fast, and unmistakably human. From writing punchy captions and hooks to shaping scripts and campaign concepts, you will help define how Rate shows up across platforms every day.

The right person understands that the best social copy is sharp, fast, and culturally aware. You know how to write for attention, for reaction, and for performance.

• Write high-impact copy for organic social posts across platforms including Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In, You Tube Shorts, and emerging channels
• Develop paid social copy that is performance-driven, thumb-stopping, and optimized for conversion
• Partner closely with the creative and video teams to shape scripts, hooks, on-screen text, and campaign language
• Concept and contribute to social-first creative ideas, series, and recurring content formats
• Draft multiple variations of headlines, captions, and hooks quickly for testing and iteration
• Adapt tone across formats ranging from short, witty captions to longer-form storytelling and brand narratives
• Work in a fast-moving environment where speed, instinct, and cultural awareness matter as much as polish
• Collaborate with performance marketing, brand, and content teams to ensure copy aligns with both engagement and growth goals
• Help evolve and maintain Rate's voice as the brand continues to scale its social presence
• Monitor trends, platform behavior, and internet culture to keep content timely and relevant

• 5+ years of professional copywriting experience, with a strong emphasis on social media
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong instincts for voice, tone, humor, and cultural relevance
• Proven experience writing copy for both organic and paid social content
• Experience working alongside video and creative teams to develop scripts and concepts
• Ability to move quickly and produce high-quality work under tight timelines
• Strong understanding of how different platforms behave and how audiences engage on each
• Comfortable testing, iterating, and optimizing copy based on performance
• Strong editing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to shift voice depending on audience, moment, and business objective
• Agency, brand, or social-first media experience preferred
• Mortgage or financial industry experience is a plus!
