Arte Publico Press is looking for a Marketing Coordinator (level 1 or level
2) to fill this role.

MC1:
Under moderate supervision, coordinates marketing and media for a college or division program. Research market trends and recommends strategy with various UH campus entities to assist in the University's branding and related campaigns.

1. Assists in the research, planning and implementation of marketing and media initiatives, including advertising, marketing and special events.

2. Conducts market research and benchmarking, recommending strategies, promotional material, vendors and communication methods that will best serve the needs and interests of the program.

3. Develops and distributes promotional materials. Oversees inventory of marketing materials and re-orders supplies as needed.

4. Coordinates UH events and activities to engage prospective students.

5. Appropriately manages time and budget to meet project goals by deadline.

6. May represent the college or division at professional conferences, trade shows, meetings, etc.

7. May travel in the U.S. as necessary, for marketing purposes.

8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

MC2:
Coordinates and develops sales for a college or division program.

1. Acts as liaison for a program with potential clients; makes contact by telephone, mail and in person to promote the program.

2. Develops proposals and appropriate budgets for sales contracts.

3. Develops policies and procedures, and promotional materials, for sales operations.

4. Represents the college or division at professional conferences, trade shows, meetings, etc.

5. Travels in the U.S. and abroad, as necessary, to negotiate contracts and conduct demonstrations.

6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ:
