Account Director​/Vice President, Consumer Brand- Agriculture and Commodities

About the Role

Burson is looking for a talented, highly motivated Account Director or Vice President with strong writing and earned media experience to join our growing team. This role focuses on a premier global account promoting a U.S. commodity. Candidates should have an interest in sustainability, fashion retail, consumer education or supply chain communications and a passion for creative, integrated work with measurable global impact.

• Serve as a trusted contact and strategic advisor to the client.
• Provide proactive counsel on program strategy, messaging, industry dynamics, and early risk mitigation.
• Support annual program and project planning and quality control of deliverables.
• Manage workflow, timelines, and priorities across a multi‑program account.
• Mentor junior team members with clear direction and feedback.
• Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and supporting proposals.
• Create copy and content across multiple formats: spotlights, one‑pagers, FAQs, newsletters, website copy.
• Develop media strategy and secure placements in print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
• Translate complex ideas into high‑impact presentations and collateral using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Adjust voice and tone for diverse audiences.
• Continuously learn technical details in sustainable agriculture, environmental footprints, and supply chain logistics.

• Undergraduate degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience.
• 10+ years of communications/PR experience (agency preferred; in‑house acceptable).
• Active interest or prior experience in sustainability, agriculture, fashion retail, corporate ESG, or supply chain logistics.
• Portfolio demonstrating versatile writing and earned media placements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint), Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Curious, proactive self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
• Bonus:
  Experience with event organization.

Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.

Compensation range: $75,000 – $180,000 USD.
