About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager helps Product understand customer needs, communicate developments effectively, and measure whether new capabilities are being adopted and delivering value.

This is a product-facing role rather than a demand generation role. You will sit on the Product team, reporting to the VP of Product, and work alongside our Product Owners. As the first dedicated product marketing hire at Cumulus, you will build this function rather than inherit it. This is a full-time position, working a hybrid schedule based out of our Houston, TX office.

Responsibilities
  • Own communication of upcoming and recently released product capabilities across the organization, producing release notes, feature overviews, and one-pagers that explain capabilities in terms of customer outcomes rather than features.
  • Establish a repeatable cadence for product communications so releases are consistently understood by Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Marketing — not just shipped.
  • Conduct customer research through interviews, surveys, and structured feedback collection.
  • Identify recurring customer needs and themes, and translate findings into actionable insights for Product.
  • Maintain a structured, searchable repository of customer feedback, requests, and testimonials.
  • Own the end-to-end development of customer case studies as a core, ongoing deliverable of this role — identifying candidates, securing customer participation, conducting interviews, quantifying outcomes, and publishing the finished piece.
  • Build and maintain a library of customer proof points and testimonials organized by capability, industry, and buyer, so the right evidence is available when it is needed.
  • Coordinate product launches and customer communications around new capabilities across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
  • Measure feature adoption before and after launch to validate impact, report outcomes to Product leadership, and recommend action where uptake falls short.
  • Partner with the Product Education Manager on release guides, user resources, and adoption materials to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Support planning and execution of Customer Advisory Board meetings, and synthesize CAB feedback into actionable product recommendations.
  • Monitor competitive positioning and market trends where they inform product direction.
About You

You are curious about how work actually gets done in the field, and you would rather spend an afternoon on a job site or on a customer call than in a slide deck. You write clearly and quickly, and you can take a complex technical capability and explain why it matters to a quality manager, a project executive, and a field crew — in three different ways.

You are comfortable being measured on outcomes like adoption and published case studies, not just deliverables produced. You are self-directed, you build systems…
