Responsible for digital communications activities to support the advancement of a major university division, program or centerthrough the planning and coordination of integrated media acrosscommunications platforms.
- Leads communication efforts across current and emerging digitalmedia platforms within a specific college or division.
- Identifies program needs and implements targeted initiatives and outreach strategies.
- Manages project lifecycle for all approveddigital media initiatives and participates in strategic planning.
- Guides user experience, design, and compatibility of programwebsites. Executes updates and manages content for all program webpages.
- Develops comprehensive social media strategy, curating bothdaily content and long-term campaigns
- Coordinates external and internal e-communications, includingemails, electronic newsletters and digital signage.
- Initiate production of video and other media content to support program goals and priorities.
- Collaborates with media producers on campus and outside vendors.
Supervises video equipment, assets, and data storage. - May work with University IT and division administrators for specific projects.
- Leverage monitoring and reporting tools to define keyengagement metrics and grow audience; track project success andcompile detailed reports showing trends and insights across media platforms.

Job Duties Summary
Responsible for digital and visual communications activities tosupport the advancement of a major university division, program, orcenter through the planning, design, and execution of integrateddigital media. Serves as the primary graphic design lead,overseeing the layout and digital production of major universitycommunications—including digital magazines, interactive annual reports, and web collateral—while driving social media, video, ande-communication strategies.
Job Duties- Leads visual communication and graphic design efforts acrosscurrent and emerging digital media platforms within a specificcollege or division.
- Conceptualizes and designs high-impact digital publicationlayouts, including online magazines, interactive annual reports,e-brochures, and university outreach collateral.
- Writes, edits, and proofreads engaging copy and narrativecontent for digital publications, web pages, and divisionalmarketing materials.
- Manages the end-to-end creative lifecycle for major digitalpublications, overseeing typography, layout composition, visualassets, and digital formatting.
- Develops comprehensive social media strategy, curating bothdaily content and long-term campaigns.
- Coordinates external and internal e-communications, includingemails, electronic newsletters and digital signage.
- Initiate production of video and other media content to support program goals and priorities.
- Guides user experience, interface design, and visual graphicsfor program websites; executes updates and manages media content across web pages.
- Collaborates with campus media producers, digital designers, and external vendors; oversees visual assets, media equipment, and project data storage.
- Leverages monitoring and reporting tools to define keyengagement metrics and grow audience; tracks project success and compiles detailed reports showing trends across media platforms.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
MQ:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a collegeor university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
