The Hope and Healing Center & Institute (HHCI) is a nonprofit redefining how communities understand and respond to mental health through a continuum of clinical and supportive services, community engagement, and innovative training and educational programming.
Gateway to Hope (GTHU), the training program of HHCI, equips individuals, faith communities, schools, and workplaces with practical mental health training and resources designed to help people recognize mental health needs, respond effectively, and connect others to appropriate support.
The Marketing Specialist contributes to the HHCI mission as part of the External Affairs team and is focused on Gateway to Hope’s communications and marketing efforts, helping expand awareness, engagement, and participation in its training and educational programs while working collaboratively across the organization.
About the RoleThe Marketing Specialist supports the growth and visibility of Gateway to Hope by developing and executing strategic communications increasing awareness and engagement, support participation in GTHU trainings, events, and educational programs, and advance strategic objectives with measurable results.
What You’ll Do- Develop and execute integrated marketing that promotes HHCI training and educational events as well as institutional visibility.
- Independently execute projects from planning through completion across multiple platforms. Key skills include building targeted campaigns in Mailchimp and social media, while managing multiple projects and effective time management as well as high-quality work.
- Develop marketing content across channels, including email, social media, digital ads, event promotions, presentations, landing pages, content updates.
- Create Word Press website content including landing pages, make content updates, and demonstrate familiarity with SEO content strategy.
- Monitor campaign performance across marketing channels and use results to improve marketing performance.
- Work collaboratively within a multifunctional team and across organizational departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, audience engagement, campaign execution, and overall effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, marketing communications, digital marketing, or a related role.
- Experience independently executing marketing campaigns or projects from planning through completion.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
- Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM or audience management systems, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
- Experience working in Word Press or comparable website content management systems.
- Experience creating or adapting marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple campaigns, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.
- Experience reviewing marketing performance and using campaign data to make recommendations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Experience with Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Asana, Survey Monkey, and Word Press.
- Experience working across multiple marketing channels and audiences.
- Spanish-language communication skills are a plus.
