About Houston Circle Of Hope Services
Houston Circle of Hope Services is a for-profit organization dedicated to improving mental health access, reducing stigma, and connecting underserved communities to culturally responsive care across Greater Houston and the Beaumont area.

Role Summary

Support community outreach, education, and referral pathways that increase awareness of mental health resources, with a focus on underserved neighborhoods and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach at community events, schools, faith-based and neighborhood centers
  • Deliver or co-facilitate brief psychoeducation workshops and resource orientations
  • Assist with community needs assessments, surveys, and focus groups
  • Maintain and update partner and provider resource lists; triage basic referrals to services
  • Create flyers, social posts, and newsletter content aligned with brand and health literacy best practices
  • Help plan and staff outreach campaigns (e.g., Mental Health Awareness Month)
  • Track outreach metrics, contacts, and outcomes; prepare weekly reports
  • Support data entry, scheduling, and follow-ups with partners and participants
  • Uphold confidentiality, cultural humility, and trauma-informed practices
  • Contact all social media referral leads
Qualifications
  • Current student or recent graduate in psychology, social work, public health, counseling, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging diverse communities
  • Cultural competence; bilingual English/Spanish or other languages a plus
  • Basic knowledge of mental health, community resources, and social determinants of health
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work some evenings/weekends for events
  • Proficient with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office;
    Canva or similar a plus
  • Must pass background check; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Learning Outcomes
  • Hands‑on experience in community mental health outreach and engagement
  • Skills in program coordination, data collection, and partnership building
  • Exposure to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive practices
Schedule
  • 10–20 hours per week; mix of office, field, and remote tasks
  • Occasional evenings/weekends for community events
  • Will receive a gas stipend
