Regional Field Manager Gulf Coast​/Greater

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country’s greatest challenges.

As a Regional Field Manager on the AFP Texas team you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Texas, mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reform. This role will be based in the Gulf Coast/Greater Houston market.

• Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently or could become leaders in their local communities (elected officials or citizen organizers) and motivate them to advocate for change.
• Equip local leaders to advocate for changes that are consistent with AFP principles by connecting them to AFP training and other resources.
• Organize events where you and other activists engage the public through phone calls, social media, and neighborhoods, creating innovative ways to educate people on public policy issues.
• Ensure AFP stays in regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
• Manage part‑time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.

• Passion for people and ability to build relationships quickly across diverse groups.
• Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
• Self‑motivation and focus on effective time‑management to accomplish objectives.
• Strong organization skills and ability to keep multiple events and activities on track.
• Team‑working skills with AFP staff and activists.
• Excitement to canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls for AFP priority initiatives and endorsed candidates, and coordinate volunteers.
• A valid driver’s license to travel as needed.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together’s vision and culture, championing values such as transformation, innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, or political campaigns.
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
